Alok, tu ekdam nahee badla....na ganja hua na shave kiya, bas camera ke samne aa gaya....!
Alok, we really missed you during our meet at BIT. Anyway, tu nahee aya to bakee logo ko baat karne ka mauka mil gaya otherwise it would have become Alok's show...no just kidding!
I spoke to Alok this time and in our just 1 hour conversation he gave me 15 phone number and e-mails of our batchmates, and updates of nearly 20 others! What a resourceful guy with all kind of possible connections. And, the best part is that he still sounds same way as he used to during the famous old time when our HOD Dr. R.N.Sahay used to address us with "Mechanical ke &^!@, khade ho jao...." and we all used to stand up in the class! Do you remember that Alok? And with Sanjay Shrama in the Hydrauluics Lab there was a deadly combination! That senetence has become an all time hit in BIT campus, where it was either said by Alok or Sanjay, can't remember but the sentence was," Sir, neeche aate dekha tha, upar jaate nahee dekha tha!" about a surahee, kept for priming the hydraulic pump, which was thrown in air and had broken in pieces when it landed, may be done because we wanted to go early to watch some World Cup match..or some other reason, but that is not important, the statement will be remembered by all of us! Alok Verma has so many stories associated with him that will be hard to forget him whenever we will remember our BIT Days! The best part about Alok was that if any news had to travel quick enough, then tell to Alok casually...because by telling anything to alok meant something like publishing on the internet, available for easy browsing for one and for all! However, if it had to spread in next 1 hour or so, call alok inside the room and tell in full confidence, almost whispering, "dekh, kisi ko nahee bolna, kisi ko nahee..." and be rest assured, the news will spread faster than today's spam....!
Vermaji, bhai dil pe mat lena yaar! Purane dino ki yaad aa rahee hai, bhai! Other day was talking to Avinash Sharma(Civil, now in Dallas), and we had a conference call together with Sanjay Srivastav(Civil, also in Dallas) and we had remembered many such incidents! Wish we could have a blog post dedicated to remember such incidents!
